Liars Bridge - Sibiu 2008

Posted by Catalin (Bucharest, Romania) on 25 July 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

Liars Bridge, the first cast iron bridge in Romania, was built at Sibiu in the year 1859 over a city street that connects the town with the bottom up. It was named "podul minciunilor" or "podul mincinoşilor" because of the legend that says that the bridge will collapse if someone will stand him and he lies.
